Bonjour Paris!

May 31, 2009 by

Paris, the City of Lights, is a dream vacation for many Americans, but finding low cost flights to Paris online can be a time consuming and frustrating process. The mega search sites offer dozens of flights, but in this economy, finding a reasonably priced flight online can seem impossible.

However, there are three sites that can help you find flights to Paris with ease.

SmarterTravel.com searches the web and brings the lowest cost flights to your inbox for you. No endless searches ending in frustration. Just check your e-mail each morning and all the available fares from your home airport come straight to you. Sign up at their site and they will send you everything from last minute fares and hotel deals, to special web only fares that must be acted upon fast.

Another site that offers Paris flights is SkyAuction.com. This is a travel auction site and with a little luck, you can be jetting off to Paris at amazingly low prices. A quick glance at their site shows flights available for as little as $1.00 per ticket. Check the listing carefully for any added taxes or fees and travel blackout dates. You can register for free and don’t need to provide your credit card information until you win. The site also includes auctions for hotels and cruises.

The third site is costlessflights.com. All of these sites do demand flexiiblity, but you can soon be sipping champagne while gazing at the Eiffel Tower and enjoying the City of Romance. Good luck and Bon Voyage!

This is the first installment of the project. I will be choosing 10 developers to work with the homepage or firstpage of the travel auction site. I need to see it functioning with company logo and username and password box working. There will only be 4-5 categories in this stage additional categories/tabs will be introduced in the second stage of this project. This is an urgent requirement so I expect a very fast service. The site can be done in CMS but I prefer Joomla. Any other programs will suffice as long as it works well with windows. No related posts. The Eiffel Tower is such a familiar icon around the world. We see it in pictures, on film, on keyrings… Yet, the first time I saw it I was still astonished: I was not ready for its sheer size. Even now, I like to lie in the Champ de Mars on a sunny day looking up at it, while the lifts go up like ladybirds climbing a tall plant.

There are many iconic structures around the world, such as London's Post Office Tower, but few have quite the presence and dramatic impact of the Eiffel Tower.

Southwest Airlines has teamed up with 27 Las Vegas hotels to offer an incentive for those on the fence with this year’s travel plans. The deal works like this: Book a flight and a room at one of the 27 hotels and a second person flies for free. Stay three nights at your chosen hotel and receive a fourth night free. The hotels include the Bellagio, Wynn, Caesars Palace, Palms and Planet Hollywood. The deal must be booked by 4 p.m. Las Vegas time on Aug. 10 with travel dates between Aug. 17 and Jan. 7. As always, some restrictions do apply. Travel must be booked five days in advance and is not valid with Friday and Sunday travel. Blackout dates include Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving week and the week of Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Travel from some cities does not apply. For the first available day of travel with the deal out of Chicago’s Midway Airport, prices range from $212 at the Plaza Hotel to $354 at the Bellagio, per person, for a four-night stay. For travel from a city closer…

Hi Jason – thanks for taking the time to respond to my post. I realize this must be a very hectic time for you and your new company. It will be really interesting to watch as you grow and develop, and I wish you all the best.

I'm just curious as to one or two things, really:

    1) In terms of organization, are you familiar with existing mega-search sites like MedlinePlus, The Librarian's Index to the Internet, and The Internet Public Library?

    2) Are any of the founders/staff involved with librarianship and/or information technology? We love to organize things. It's what we do, and what we're trained for.

Just curious. What I'd really like to do is interview you at length for a future blog installment – would you be open to that?
