Finding The Right Elliptical Machine

February 7, 2010 by

If you’re thinking about purchasing an elliptical trainer you might be lost about what to buy and where to get it. You’ll notice a wide variety of brands available for instance ProForm ellipticals, BodyCraft, Lifecore, Nautilus, and Spirit to identify a few of them and each brand name has multiple models. It may seem like an overload when you start searching. You might want to begin sizing it down to a point where you may start eliminating some of the selections until you own a number that is simpler to manage.

One of the most powerful things will credibly be the amount to spend. There is a large range when you’re looking at what you’re willing to spend, ellipticals can be priced from a few hundred dollars to above four thousand. If you want a choice machine you’ll have to be prepared to expend somewhere around a thousand dollars or possibly more. But this will leave you with a somewhat ample number of options.

Another thing to deliberate is who might be using the elliptical machine. If someone very tall might use it you probably want to seek a machine with a longer stride length. If it’s for the whole family you want to be confident it will be able to take the intense use, but if the elliptical is for an occasional single user you might be able to get a different brand or model.

After you specify your options you will likely desire to sample a a couple of various models at your nearby fitness store to verify how they feel. You might also want to build a list of characteristics that are significant to you. You may want to break it into several lists for example need, would like, not necessary. By taking it step by step you should discover the right elliptical for your needs and wants.

    Buy or rent?

Location is the key to price here & it depends on your tastes. I'd suggest West London, Hammersmith & Fulham is pretty metropolitan if you're into that kind of thing. Further West, I'd recommend Richmond, Twickenham, Kingston etc. More laid back and very pretty. Check out & type in various station names from the map at

It'll give you info about the local authority, socio-economic data, etc as well as link you to property price sites.

Also try Good site that most lettings and buying estate agencies advertise on here.

Currency converter at will help you convert GBP to USD at current market rates.

First check with your bank to make sure they allow the card to be used out of the country and what they charge; most Visa cards with the Cirrus logo are usable. While most major hotels, restaurants and stores for tourists will take the card you might have a harder time using the card for purchases in some of the smaller local stores and restaurants. It is cheaper to get money out of an ATM rather than carrying around cash and converting it at one of the many locations that convert currency (these places tend to rip you off so try and see if your bank will allow you to convert money and if not only use these places to convert just enough for a couple days when you arrive). Also be aware that some Dutch banks have their ATMs set to only allow you to withdraw up to 250 Euros a day which might result in more frequent withdrawals and more charges from your bank as a result.
