The debate now in the USA about the use of lethal injections should bring the immoral, stupid, practice of execution to the fore and maybe even to the US Supreme Court. It seems to me that lethal injections since (1)they are a medical procedure, and (2) doctors will not participate because of the Hippocratic Oath, are (3) prima facie unconstitutional and probably even criminal when performed by an untrained non-medical specialist.

I know of a woman medical specialist who has been offered a very good position in one of these hospitals. She has worked and studied abroad for many, many years. And she too was amazed by the state of the art technology that was available in this Malaysian run hospital. This hospital is trying to recruit as many Bangladeshi foreign trained medical doctors. If they can't find any, then it will start looking at Indian educated doctors.
This hospital is funded by the Malaysian government. I think the Bangladesh-Malaysia relationship began in 1981 when Dr. Mahatir Mohammed became the Malaysian prime minister, he wanted to help Bangladesh as much as he could.

I have a friend who is a monk, living on a pension, who would love to live in the UK but cannot trust the NHS to care for him – he has a chronic disease and history of cancer, despite the fact that he is eligible for all of its supposed benefits.

I am a Canadian and am often amazed at the lies that are told about the Canadian health care system. I choose my own doctor. I have never had an unreasonable wait for service. I have never feared losing my medical coverage because of job loss, genetic make up or financial issues. I know of no one that has had to remorgage their house to cover medical bills.
I have seen world class medical specialist. Canadian doctors and medical facilities have pioneered various medical procedures. I have never had to fill out endless forms for private insurance companies just to see a doctor.
Is the Canadian system perfect? Nope, but please can anyone in the USA say with a straight face that the US system is perfect? Do you not wonder why you are the only major industrial power without some form of universal health coverage?

Five years ago I was privileged to meet my dear sister in Christ and my best friend, the creator of this blog. At the time I came in contact with her I myself was in a very difficult place in my life with an illness. Quite frankly, on many occasions I wanted to give up the fight. This was because my illness took me by surprise and I was not prepared for the difficult challenges that came along with it. It was when I started to pursue my walk with the Lord and he, through his love for me aligned me with my now best friend. I was most impressed with how she dealt with her illness. I saw her as one of the most positive talking and thinking person I have ever met with so much going on in her life. I was struck by her enthusiasm to live the life God want her to live despite the affliction she was facing. I was moved by the fact that she was so grounded in Christ and never fuss or complained about her situation. We stated to talk on a daily basis and that led to pray time with each other. I began to see her as a great woman with immense faith, one who only put her trust in God first. I quickly realized that the medical specialist operating in her life was secondary. After a day with the medical specialist, she would call me and the first thing she would convey to me is “whose report are we going to believe..I serve a miracle working God”. Often times I remember through my complaining to her about my circumstances she would always say to me speak the word which is life. One of the many bible verses that I can say was constantly told to me by her is that our God is our great physician, our balm in Gilead and he has sent forth his word to heal us all. Then suddenly I realized that her faith was bigger than a mustard seed and there was no mountain she could not climb. That is when I made the conscious decision to raise up take up my bed and walk. Though her encouragement to me I started to believe that by his stripes I am healed and made whole. Over the next years being in her company has taught me that we must put all of our trust in God knowing that he has a plan for us.
Lastly, I am of the opinion that when you are walking in your purpose, God will aligned with the right people who you can uplift and encourage you.
My dear sister and best friend be strong in the Lord and the power of his might, continue to put on the whole armor of God and he will protect from the wiles of the devil. And remember God loves you and so do I.
